Primary 4 maths syllabus: every topic, by term
The 12 topics your child meets in Primary 4, in the order most Singapore schools teach them. Aligned to the latest (2026) MOE syllabus.
The short version
Primary 4 maths covers 12 topics, taught across Terms 1 to 4: Numbers to 100 000; Factors and Multiples; Four Operations of Whole Numbers; Tables and Line Graphs; Fractions; Angles; Rectangles and Squares; Decimals; Pie Charts; Area and Perimeter; Nets; and Symmetry. The year ends with the school's end-of-year exam.
Primary 4 is where fractions, decimals and the four operations get heavier, and the first data-handling topics arrive. This is the whole year, term by term, so you can see what is coming and where children usually get stuck.
