Terms of service
Effective date: 1 July 2026 Last updated: 1 August 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of StudyLah, a PSLE-style practice service operated by StudyLah Learning Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202620010Z), a company incorporated in Singapore ("StudyLah", "we", "us", "our"). StudyLah includes the website at studylah.com.sg, the practice app, and related features.
By creating an account or using StudyLah, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use StudyLah.
2. Who can use StudyLah, and how accounts work
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to create a StudyLah account.
StudyLah is built for primary-school children, but children do not hold their own accounts. A parent or guardian creates and holds the account, then sets up one or more child profiles under it. The account holder is responsible for everything that happens under the account, including each child profile, and for supervising the child's use of the service.
StudyLah is passwordless: you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or through your Google account. You agree to give accurate account information, keep the email account you sign in with secure, and tell us promptly if you think your StudyLah account has been used without your permission.
3. What StudyLah provides
StudyLah provides practice questions, feedback, worked solutions, progress tracking, and related learning features for Singapore primary-school subjects, starting with Mathematics.
StudyLah is a practice and revision tool. It supports a child's learning. It does not replace school, teachers, or a child's own effort, and we do not promise any particular examination result or grade.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. Where a change is significant and it is reasonable to do so, we will give notice.
4. Not affiliated with MOE, SEAB, or any school
StudyLah is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB), the PSLE, or any school. References to the PSLE, to "PSLE-style" practice, or to assessment windows describe the style, level, and timing of our practice content. They are not claims of official affiliation or endorsement.
5. Free and paid plans
StudyLah offers a free tier that gives real practice access, not a time-limited trial. We also offer a paid plan that adds features beyond the free tier.
How our plans work:
- Core practice stays available on the free tier. Paid plans add depth and convenience. They do not lock away the ability to practise and improve.
- Any in-app rewards or cosmetics, where offered, are for personal expression. They do not buy academic progress or shortcuts.
- We do not use high-pressure tactics, hidden or surprise charges, or confusing cancellation steps.
- The price and what the paid plan includes are shown on our pricing page and again at checkout, before you pay anything.
StudyLah also has a referral programme. When someone joins through your referral link and becomes a paying subscriber, you earn one month of Premium, either as a free month or as a credit on your next bill, up to the lifetime cap shown on your account page. We check each referral before rewarding it, and we may withhold or reverse a reward if a referral is fake, is really you signing yourself up, or otherwise games the programme. We may change or end the programme at any time. Rewards you have already earned stay yours.
6. Payments, renewal, and cancellation
StudyLah's paid plan is billed monthly. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us and Stripe to charge your chosen payment method each month until you cancel.
Your subscription renews automatically each month, with no minimum term and no annual commitment. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, and your access continues until the end of the month you have already paid for. Because the plan is monthly and you can cancel whenever you like, we do not provide refunds for the current or any past month, except where Singapore law requires it. If we ever change the plan or its price, the change applies from your next monthly renewal, not the month you have already paid for.
7. Acceptable use
When you use StudyLah, you agree not to:
- Use the service for anything unlawful, or in a way that harms StudyLah, other users, or anyone else.
- Share, sell, or transfer your account or sign-in codes, or let people outside your own family use your account.
- Copy, scrape, harvest, or republish our questions, solutions, or other content, except for your own family's personal practice.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or try to extract the source code or underlying content of the service, except as far as the law allows.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, test its security without permission, or try to get around any access controls.
- Upload anything harmful, such as malware, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
8. Intellectual property
StudyLah, including its software, design, brand, questions, worked solutions, and other content, is owned by StudyLah Learning Pte. Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by law. Our questions and content are original or independently prepared and calibrated to the standard of Singapore primary-school assessments.
We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use StudyLah for your family's own learning while you comply with these Terms. This licence does not let you use our content for any commercial purpose or to build a competing service.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve StudyLah, with no obligation to you.
9. Children and parental responsibility
Because StudyLah is used by children through a parent-managed profile, the account holder is responsible for supervising the child's use, for the accuracy of the child's profile information, and for consent to our handling of the child's data as set out in the Privacy Policy. The parent dashboard exists to help parents support and encourage their child, not to monitor or penalise them.
10. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in the StudyLah Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read it to understand what we collect and why.
11. Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using StudyLah at any time. To close your account, email us at hello@studylah.com.sg and we will take care of it.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we reasonably need to protect the service or other users. Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will give you notice. When an account is closed, we handle the data as set out in the Privacy Policy.
12. Service provided "as is", and limits on our liability
We work hard to keep StudyLah accurate, available, and useful, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the extent the law allows, we do not give warranties that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it is fit for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that practising on StudyLah will produce any specific examination result.
To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, StudyLah is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred Singapore dollars. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify StudyLah against reasonable claims, losses, and costs that arise from your misuse of the service or your breach of these Terms, to the extent the claim is caused by your acts or omissions.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know. If you keep using StudyLah after an update takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. You and StudyLah submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. Before starting court proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at hello@studylah.com.sg so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
16. Contact
