Where is your child heading?

Start from whatever you have: school exam marks, AL grades, or a score in your head. It becomes a posting group and a full eligibility check, then carries straight into the school table. Your child's marks and score never leave this page.

PSLE score

What this works out

Put four bands in and this shows the single band change that brings the most schools into reach, and how many that is.

Try it free

And three checks it runs

  • Higher Mother Tongue at Sec 1, on the 2026 rule
  • SAP school advantage, if Higher Chinese is taken
  • Third language at MOELC

How the scoring works

The mechanics behind the numbers above, in plain English.

The eight AL bands

Each subject earns AL 1 (best) to 8. Narrow bands at the top, on purpose: one careless mark does not become one whole level.

Score to posting group

Four ALs add up to one score, 4 to 32.

  • 4 to 20Posting Group 3
  • 21 to 22your family picks Posting Group 2 or 3
  • 23 to 24Posting Group 2
  • 25your family picks Posting Group 1 or 2
  • 26 to 30Posting Group 1

All six school choices sit in the one group you pick. Above 30, MOE arranges the next step with the family directly.

A cut-off is a fact, not a forecast

It is the score of the last child posted in, published each May (2026 intake here). We never turn it into a probability. A percentage would be an invented number.

Ties have a fixed order

Citizenship first, then who ranked the school higher, then a computerised ballot. About 9 in 10 children never ballot at all.

Affiliation is first-choice only

It applies only when the affiliated school is ranked first, at least 20% of places stay open to everyone, and IP tracks carry no priority.

The score is one number. The work is topic by topic.
